The Quest Cares team celebrated Women's History month with our community residents. The clients were able to reflect on the achievements of women in their own family’s history and the importance of inspiring young ladies to continue to pursue a more equitable world.
One resident informed the group that her grandmother was the 1st woman in her family to vote, which set the stage for her granddaughters to feel empowered to cast their own ballots to this day.
Caitlyn Maher, or Quest Cares intern presented a booklet detailing women of different races from various eras in world history that trail-blazed a path towards equality, women’s rights, freedom of expression, science, and education.
The event ended with several rounds of Women’s History Bingo w/ prizes for winners and the opportunity to eat and interact with each other.
Quest Cares truly appreciates the enthusiasm and dedication our intern Caitlyn provides when working with our clients. Ms. Maher represents Georgia State University’s Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) program.
