The residents @ our Collegtown Location where we provide permanent supportive housing, began the month of July with a round table discussion entitled “Beating the Heat.”
The residents discussed natural creative ways to avoid getting too hot in the warm weather as well as ways to maintain their mental composure in uncomfortable heated situations.
They discussed drinking more water, wearing light clothing with brighter colors. They also discussed exercising in the cooler hours of the day which may consist of early morning hours or later in the evening.
They went on to discuss ways to prepare themselves mentally for unexpected situations that could cause them to be disturbed. They discussed morning meditation, exercising and setting up a positive outlook for their daily routine.
The residents left this meeting motivated and prepared to stay cool in the heated situations of life. “Beating the Heat”
